Material models for forming simulations

In order to predict the behaviour of a sheet metal subjected to complex deformation states, material models, including material parameters, are essential for the design of forming processes. Indeed, the predictive capacity of simulations depends to a large extent on the used material model for the sheet metal. A tool, based on static and/or dynamic tests, is therefore designed in order to quickly provide the parameters for several plasticity models commonly used in commercial finite element software. Currently, the parameters of four different hardening models and two yield functions can be obtained started from a simple engineering curve. Other models can be implemented on demand.
